Exhibition Architecture & Joost Swarte

At the Cross Comix Festival in Rotterdam, you will find a small exhibition by Joost Swarte in the 'Cross Comix Kunsthal', with a selection of his architecture-inspired graphic work. Open: Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Especially for this Cross Comix Festival we have published a new series entitled 'La Maison Idéale'.
Originally designed by Joost Swarte in 2013 for the Brafa Art Fair as a series of four. One print of it (Living in books) has already been published by the NRC newspaper, and now we have made the three others available: Gravity, Introvert and Reading Rooms. They are printed in giclée with size 60 x 40 cm, in a limited edition of 75 numbered and signed copies. And for the first time now on display as part of this exhibition.

There will also be an Architecture Day at the Prinsekerk location in Rotterdam on Saturday 25 September with Talks by Joost Swarte, Mélanie van der Hoorn, Hanco Kolk and Ellen Schindler. Joost Swarte talks about the intertwining of comics and architecture in his work.
