First appearance of Jopo de Pojo 1973

40 years ago Joost Swarte was asked to contribute to an international comic project about the Sixties. He drew a two page story introducing Jopo the Pojo. In 2011 the book The Someday Funnies finaly has been published and this year the original pages returned to Joost Swarte. A good occasion for us to make a silkscreen of this first appearance of Jopo de Pojo.

 "Summer Reading" by Joost swarte

The award winning cover design for The New Yorker "Summer Reading" by Joost Swarte in silkscreen. And even better, Joost Swarte decided to make a so called 'rehaut' out of it. That means that a part of the print has been coloured by hand by himself, so that the prints differs one of the other.

The little man and the sun-umbrella has been handcoloured personally by Joost Swarte. So every print will be unique.
