Delve into the craftsmanship of chromolithography with these original lithographs from around 1900 by the renown Belgian artist Henry Cassiers (1858-1944). He was also active in the Netherlands for some years, at the beginning of the 20th century.

 

We recently had the opportunity to purchase the remaining batch of two of these chromolithography prints he made in his Dutch period: original lithographs printed by De Rycker & Mendel in Bruxelles. The images depict The village of Marken with its traditional costumes, and St. Nicholas Church in Amsterdam.
